Some programmes, partner courses, orders, scholarships, or payment methods may have additional terms shown with the relevant offer. Those details form part of your transaction when you proceed.
1. Agreement and account responsibilities
These terms apply when you access or use the Skill Edge School of Technology website and portal. By creating an account, submitting an application, placing an order, enrolling in a course, or continuing to use an account feature, you agree to these terms and any additional terms clearly presented for that service. If you do not agree, do not use the relevant service.
Give accurate, current information and update it when it changes. Keep your password and verification codes private, use your own account, and tell us promptly if you suspect someone else has accessed it. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
If you are under the age of legal capacity for a particular transaction or service, a parent or legal guardian must assist and provide any approval required by law. Partners, instructors, and staff must also follow the additional role-specific agreements and policies that apply to their work.
2. Applications, admissions, and scholarships
Submitting an application does not guarantee admission, a scholarship, a place in a cohort, or any particular outcome. We may verify information, request clarification or additional documents, apply published eligibility criteria, and make decisions based on programme capacity and applicable requirements. We will communicate decisions and next steps through the portal or the contact details on your account.
Scholarship opportunities may be funded or supported by partners and may have separate eligibility, deadlines, award limits, and reporting requirements. A scholarship listing is not a promise of an award. If you receive an offer, follow the instructions and deadline in that offer. Do not submit information or documents that you are not authorised to provide.
3. Learning services, assessments, and certificates
Access to learning materials, classes, assessments, live sessions, downloads, and instructor support depends on your enrolment, assigned cohort, course settings, and any payment or eligibility condition shown for the programme. Do not share protected course materials, assessment answers, account access, or another learner’s work without permission.
Completion certificates are issued only when the school’s completion and verification requirements are met. A certificate confirms the recorded course completion described on it; it is not a guarantee of employment, professional licensure, or a particular career outcome. A certificate verification link may show certificate details to anyone who has that link, so share it thoughtfully.
4. Partner course listings
Partner courses are submitted by a partner and may require Skill Edge review before publication. Course availability, content, instructors, duration, delivery mode, requirements, price, discounts, certificate issuer, and access conditions are shown in the listing or at checkout and may vary by course.
A partner is responsible for having the rights and authority to publish its course materials and for providing accurate listing information and the delivery commitments it has made. Skill Edge may review, request changes to, pause, or remove a listing to protect learners, meet platform requirements, or address a policy concern. Partner sales, commissions, refunds, adjustments, and payouts follow the applicable commission and payout terms recorded for that partner, together with the transaction details shown in the portal.
By enrolling in a partner course, you agree to the course-specific information shown before purchase. The course provider may receive the learner details needed to create enrolment, deliver instruction, and provide support.
5. Shop products, orders, and delivery
Product descriptions, prices, available options, shipping charges, delivery requirements, and digital access details are shown on the relevant product or checkout page. Review your order before payment. Physical orders require accurate recipient and delivery information; delivery timing can depend on location, stock, and the carrier.
Digital downloads or access are made available after the payment is confirmed and may be subject to the access or licence terms displayed with the product. Do not redistribute purchased materials where the product terms or applicable law do not allow it.
Order status and available tracking details appear in your account when provided. If a product is unavailable, an order is delayed, or an order detail needs correction, contact the school using the details on the website and include your order reference.
6. Fees and payments
Tuition, administrative charges, shop prices, delivery charges, course prices, discounts, and payment methods can differ by programme, cohort, course, product, or transaction. The amount and payment instructions shown by admissions or at checkout for your transaction are the ones to follow. Do not pay using instructions from an unverified source.
Payments may be processed by a third-party gateway or financial service provider. Its own service terms and privacy notice apply to the payment flow it provides. The portal may create a pending payment record while confirmation is in progress; a record, receipt upload, screenshot, or transfer instruction is not by itself proof that funds were received. We mark a transaction paid after it is verified through the applicable provider or finance review.
Never send your password, one-time code, full payment-card details, or bank login credentials to Skill Edge or another user.
7. Cancellations, returns, and refunds
Cancellation, return, exchange, or refund conditions depend on the programme, product, course, provider, and stage of the transaction. Any specific policy shown at checkout, in an offer, or in a separate written agreement applies to that transaction. Contact the school promptly with your application, order, or payment reference so the relevant team can review your request.
Nothing in these terms removes a consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
8. Neom AI assistant
Neom provides general guidance from available school information and may use an external AI service when one is enabled. Responses can be incomplete or incorrect and are not an admissions decision, financial confirmation, professional advice, or a substitute for an official notice from the school. Check important details with the relevant team or published course information.
Do not enter passwords, verification codes, payment credentials, private identity-document details, or confidential information into AI chat. Neom cannot access your personal application or payment record, submit a form, approve a request, or make a change to your account. Your use of the assistant is also covered by the AI section of our Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable use and content rights
Use the portal lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
- access another person’s account, records, documents, or course space without authorisation;
- submit false information, fraudulent payment evidence, or documents you have no right to use;
- interfere with the portal, bypass security or access controls, distribute malware, scrape protected records, or disrupt other users;
- upload content that infringes another person’s rights, is unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, or intended to mislead or harm; or
- copy, sell, publish, or distribute school, instructor, partner, or learner materials except as permitted by the owner, the applicable course terms, or law.
You keep the rights you hold in information and content you submit. You give Skill Edge a limited, non-exclusive permission to use it for as long as needed to process your application, operate your account, review or display a course or partner listing, deliver learning or support, and perform the service you requested. We only display a student testimonial publicly when you give the required permission and an administrator features it. School branding, portal software, and Skill Edge-created materials remain owned by Skill Edge or its licensors. Third-party and partner materials remain subject to their owners’ rights.
10. Service availability and account action
We may update, pause, or discontinue a portal feature, listing, course, or programme when reasonably needed for maintenance, security, legal compliance, operational reasons, or learner protection. We aim to communicate material changes through the portal or another available channel.
We may restrict or suspend access where we reasonably believe an account is compromised, these terms have been breached, a transaction is disputed or suspected to be fraudulent, or continued access could harm a person or the service. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and how to contact us. We may preserve records that we are legally required to keep or need for a dispute or security review.
11. Liability and disputes
We take reasonable steps to provide accurate information and maintain the portal, but online services may be interrupted and information can change. To the extent allowed by law, the portal and general information are provided without a promise that access will always be uninterrupted or that every item of content will be error-free. This does not limit any duty, warranty, liability, or consumer protection that the law does not allow us to exclude.
If you have a concern, contact us first so we can try to resolve it. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you. A dispute that cannot be resolved directly may be taken to a court of competent jurisdiction.
12. Contact and updates
For questions about these terms, use the Skill Edge contact form or email info@skilledge.ng. These terms may be updated as the portal or its services change. The updated date at the top identifies the latest revision; continued use after the effective date means the revised terms apply to future use, subject to applicable law.
